Mold release

Permanent film on the tool.

Teflon™ release coatings on injection, compression, and industrial molds so the part dumps clean. PTFE and other fluoropolymer films bonded to the metal. Not a spray can. Wear film when the tool sees repeat contact.

The duty

Mold release and tooling.

01

Injection and compression

Cavities, cores, and tool faces that have to dump the part. A bonded film on the metal, not a can in the cell.

02

Industrial tooling

Process molds, forming tools, and other tooling that picks up product or resin. Send the size, the heat, and what you mold.

03

A film, not a spray

A spray is a shift. A permanent film is the tool. The part lets go without recoating the cavity every cycle.

04

The films

Release is the lead. Wear when the same face gets hit. Chemical and heat if the mold runs hot or sees solvent. PTFE, PFA, FEP, ETFE, PVDF, ECTFE, and nylon when the duty calls for them.

Neighbors

Food molds live on their own page.

Cheese and food molds are a strong vertical here. They do not own this page. This page is tooling. If you mold food, start on the food page and come back if the tool is the job.
